Hiya folks,

Can anyone help me to create a sloped roof from a closed curve? I'm trying to create some very simple architectural geometry and I have the walls drawn around a curve but I want to use the same curve to create a sloped roof on top of the walls.

Please help either with tips in here or with links to tutorials, I've not been able to find one at my level. Please bear in mind that I'm pretty new to houdini too.

Thanks in advance!

Polyexpand2d or polyextrude will probably be what you're after.

Thanks buddy, I thought of that but that doesn't give me enough detail or a straight ridge line in the center. I'd like to have arches at certain ends of the roof too just to complicate things

You can use a line with your desired curvature and sweep it on your closed curve. And then skin it.

Could perhaps provide some sketches or photos of what exactly you are trying to achieve?
