New hip file, go to an animation desktop with an object's paramaters and jive both displayed.
Alt-LMB to set a keyframe, then MMB to scope it. In jive, there it is, scoped. Try to add a channel group using “g” - it won't work. You need to click in the changroup window, which unscopes the channel(grr), which selects the “All Channel Groups”, *then* re-scope the relevant channels, *then* hit “g”. Incredibly frustrating. I assume the problem is that Houdini needs to know the parent to add the changroup too - but this constantly happens first time you start Houdini. Can it default to having the “All Channels” selected? There are other circumstances where this state happens again without restarting Houdini…haven't been able to nail it down yet.
Also, with recent builds(391), even the above isn't working - the changroup is added - with no members.
Cheers,
J.C.

This should now be fixed in build 395 or later.
It should be noted that there are now three hotkeys for creating channel groups:
g - add an empty group
shift+g - create a group from the scope
ctrl+g - create a group from the displayed channels
I think that in previous versions we only had the shift+g hotkey.
