Anyone running into the node ‘info’, ‘find’ windows intermittently losing their Houdini look? Not sure how it happens.

MacOs 10.12.3, Nvidia, H16.0.504.20, Qt5

On my Mac, I sometimes (?!) get an empty Python module when I click help and sometimes just when hovering over a parameter input for too long. Also, really strange UI senstivity and small window delays with both the Wacom and the mouse. All normal on 15.5.
Just tossing it out there in case other folks are getting odd behaviour too. I'll do a proper support ticket if the next couple daily builds don't clear it up.

Yup - also had the tab menu sometimes malfunctioning - you would type in say ‘group’ then when you try to move the cursor to select it the menu tab would disappear and it would be dropping down a node that you hadn't selected.

note: renamed title

not sure what to submit as we don't have any reproducible steps yet.

I haven't noticed any of these issues on Mac yet but I'll keep an eye out for them.

And yes, please submit a bug once you find a reproducible test case (*keeping fingers crossed*). The bug should fall into my pile and will definitely help me track down the cause of the problem.

Cheers,

Thanks Rob. Will submit the bugs. Just for general reference there is also a nasty one where the whole interface slows down when bringing up a dialog - i.e. pressing ‘d’ for display will pause Houdini for a many seconds and only quitting will correct it, and quitting then doesn't work - you have to force quit.

Edit: encountered the tab error mentioned before:
