Peak node issues

Hi,

I'm currently working through Rohan Dalvi's Rocket series. There is a section where we use a peak node to enlarge the body of the rocket. When he does it it seems to push the geometry out along its normal, however when I do it, the bottom edge curls in. Any clue why this might be?

Thanks!
Kaine

Probably because the normals down there point inwards. Activate normals in your viewport to make sure.

And make posting HIP files a habit, so we dont have to guess.

I checked the normals and they all seem.. normal..(That was terrible sorry).

Here is the file and a picture of the normals. I've put the area where the particular peak node is in a red network box to make it easy to find.

I've never used the peak node so I don't know why it doesn't work.

Remove that and use the soft peak node - it works though.

Thanks! I'll use that for now.

I'll have to look into the peak node further though to see how it works as something funky is going on and it's bugging me not knowing haha.

You are not using polygons on this, are you?
