Hey All simple question but unfortunately not really showing up in searches here or google,…how do i select concave and/or convex points?

Measure SOP is often the simplest way to start tackling this. Element type to Points, Measure set to ‘Curvature’. Then either group, group expression, or wrangle node to pick up points with @curvature above or below a set value.

but it is non vex. - measure, a node - group, a node - base group:@curvature>0.123 surely you wouldn't complain about @curvature>0.123 being too vexy ?

make it easier for everyone by uploading your file, otherwise we could be playing ping pong with hit 'n miss replies all day. in your group, set group type to points ?

i have absolutely no idea why you have 2 extrudes in the same loop that also has 2 iterations ?!?!?! anyway, don't wanna know. (you do realise that you have lots of points in straight lines which defeats the purpose of using curvature logic) here:

here's the thing, im trying to select the concave then the convex in separate operations. is that not possible? thats why its so dependent on color to point control

here you go bloke… change Base Group to either convex or concave (btw, in grouptransfer, change distance threshold to say 0.01, stupid me left it at 10 which potentially is a spanner in the works)

hmmm…there's a bruteforcevex in the non vex approach…better learn vex then i guess…just kidding…
