Is there any “Skew” deformer in Houdini (like other 3d software)?

Wouldn't applying a matrix be sufficient? “Rotation” basically is skewing “done well”.

Transform SOP has Shear parameter, would that work for you?

I'm pretty sure, that (once) shear was a part of the twist sop.

But the transform sop will do the job for sure.

If you want similar behaviour like 3ds max or something, I would prefer an attribute wrangle. If you have a center an axis and a direction, which is perpendicular to the axis you can use this to capture the geometry to get local parameters.
For each point a local translation can be performed, depending on these parameters. Adding few ramps can give more control over the local direction / amount for example.

under my nose for 14 years... never used it, my brains literally blocked it out. Thanks. And i was going to manually deform and blend to get there... :$
