how can i use the houdini,
i found it installed on my pc :!: :!:
,but i can't use it at all
have anybody a manual pdf for the app.??
and also it's so heavy on the pc, does it need a higher rank,
my pc is 256ram,and 32 m vga card p3- Xp.

No, I wouldn't try using it on your machine. Needs more memory and a much better graphics card(one with OpenGL support).

If you get a better machine in future, just go to www.sidefx.com and join the Apprentice program - there's plenty of docs and training videos…

John wasn't being mean, he was just stating that Houdini does in fact require a reasonably beefy computer to run it. I can “run” Houdini on my Laptop which only has 8MB non-OpenGL video card in it. It works, but I can can't do anything more than create a few basic primitives.

I am a poor guy but I still use my old computer to run the non_commerical Houdini 6. It works quite well!

My cpu is 4 years old!———AMD K62 500mHz (one cpu only)
I only have 256Mb ram
I bought a cheap graphic card last month but it works extremely well on Houdini! my graphic card is NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200. It costs me about US$90. It supports both openGL and Direct3D.

Nowadays! Cheap things may works well!
