Hi All,

I am trying to add an image into the background so i can trace it with a curve and start making it 3d. I know in Maya there is an “add image plane” option but i can't seem to find it in houdini. Does anybody know where i can find it? Thanks in advance!

Press “d” in the viewport and it will bring up your display options. Choose the background tab and then select you image. Dont forget to turn it on by checking the “display background image” box.

I'm still looking for that elusive trace SOP. i'm sure it'll turn up sooner or later. I'll try hitting tab on all different levels and see where its lurking.

thanks!

If you know the name of the SOP, you don't need to hunt. Hit tab, hit the letter ‘t’ - it's there.

Cheers,
