backface?

hey idk if i have something messed up but it's displaying all my objects backfaces…

Is this imported geometry? I've had something similar when importing some nurbs objects ( if I remember correctly).. if it is imported post which program its from, format, etc

I haven't seen this before and maybe it's a mac-specific OpenGL issue, but try adjusting the Near/Far Clipping Panes in the display options (d in viewport, under the Optimization tab).

I have many issues with the opengl display. Once you have an alpha attribute and transparency is enabled, houdini seems to not sort the primitives anymore and the viewport becomes a mess.

Do you have alpha on that geometry? I just always work with transparency off (display options, misc tab).

i did have a transparency on the reference planes i was using
