hi!

i did something like a growing tree by using l-system. i want to render that as a tube. i found one shader on the net. it renders those curves as a tube. but it has no smoothness. i cant increase the no. of segments. i append resample node under l-system. it is not working. any idea how to render a curve as smooth tube.

Thank You,

Try polywire.

Not that straightforward with complex branching curves, tend to get bunched up or some ugly geometry.

PolyWire can work most of the time and easily tweaked.

You can use any of these two methods:

iirc you would be better turning on “point attributes” in the l-systems. That means; if you go the polywire route the polywire will pick up the scaling attributes and such, (that is is you have applied scaling in the rules tab, and set the values in the values tab).
