Hi,
Im currently work in a company who buy an old version (15.5) few years ago, my question is, is it possible to have a free update for houdini or the company needs to buy a new license for each new release?
Thanks.

Hi,
In houdini 16 i wanted to scale particle according to age using this expression fit01($AGE,.2,.9)in a point node, it worked fine.
then with the same scene in houdini 15 i use exactly the same expression and its not working at all, even a simple expression like $AGE doesn't work, i think i've missed somthing in the syntax,
please anybody help
in my scene the point node issue is in the geo1 node in root tree
thanks

Hi,
I read some topics about this but it doesn't work in my setup.
I have a tube geo, I attached a material with a simple diffuse map on it, basicly i would like emit particles with the texture
color.
I have tried several solutions but i obviously miss something.
Thanks for your help.

Hi everyone,
im trying to build a simple setup for an animal walking in the sand. in my first test i had a lot of particle shaking on the ground during the whole animation. to avoid that i tried to play with awaken by geometry node and tik the auto sleep box in my grain solver.
-first i thought this tool was made to optimize simulation and gain simulation time but for the moment it seems to make it longer by calculating the volume of the moving shape.
-then i think that im obviously missing something because my particles fall asleep but never awaken by the moving shape
please someone have tips on this?
i put in attachement my scene and the alembic i use for the sim
thank you very much!
