goatWhy did you decide to kill the Mantra (replace)? Will a video card work in Karma? How much does speed differ from Renshift?
Mantra is dead on arrival in H18

jsmackThank you, super everything, you're the best
This is a very simple example. No automatic transform cracking.

jsmackCan you give an example of how you do this in hiplc?
You can derive the shift amount from the tilt angle if you know it. An expression can be used using the tangent of the angle to set the screen Y shift:ch('resx')/ch('resy')*ch('focal')/ch('aperture')*tan(ch("tiltx"))
The hard part, if you already have a camera animation, is to remove the tilt and put it back on the camera.
If you are animating your own camera, you can simply animate the tilt angle channel instead of the rx channel. It gets complicated if you are using lookat or other constraints.

Konstantin MagnusShift “screen window X / Y” only for the frame, and if animation, you need “auto vertical tilt correction” for architectural animation-visualization.
You can offset the camera using “screen window X/Y” in the camera settings.

How much does a plug-in for a camera cost like in 3D max “auto vertical tilt correction”? Has anyone ordered plugins for Houdini?

All is well, the little dragon dives in boxing, but how to make boxing in the middle, and at the edges there would be a surface of arbitrary shape?

Ocean Flat Tank, how to make a surface after a wavetank of arbitrary shape (for example, a lake or a pool) with waves like in the picture? I work in Redshift.

How to make Wavetank a different shape, like option 1 and option 2? For example, fill out a free-form swimming pool.

bonsakSorry, but your method does not work, in some special cases it may be, but something else is needed in architectural animation.
Here you go.

What to do in Houdini so that the verticals do not collapse, with architectural visualization (animation), can there be a plug-in for working with cameras?

On the camera parameter View tab, try adjusting Screen Window X/Y's y parm, and then adjust the cameras Y Transform to frame the view. Its basically the same but not as straight forward as the Max button

t makes no sense to customize Screen Window X / Y's. Can you show where to configure “and then adjust the cameras Y Transform to frame the view”?

I work at Houdini, Redshift.
The question is, in 3Ds Max there is a checkmark in the “auto vertical tilt correction” camera, is there a similar one in Houdini?

3rd Party » Render in Houdini. Increase Redshift speed when replacing a video card

Good day to everyone, Question about the render in Houdini.
I work with Redshift, the scene (as an example), the frame (picture) (HDTV1080) takes 20 minutes. Plans to speed up the rendering process.
Iron costs:
-I7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz;
Video card nVidia GeForce GTX 1070 8GB;
RAM 16 GB;
- motherboard B360M H;
I plan to buy:
RAM (+ 16GB);
-video card is one of three (the difference in price, how it will affect the rendering is not known, I do not want to overpay):
1. MSI nVidia GeForce RTX 2080Ti, RTX 2080 Ti LIGHTNING, 11GB, GDDR6, Ret.
2. GIGABYTE nVidia GeForce RTX 2080Ti, GV-N208TAORUSX WB-11GC, 11GB, GDDR6, Ret.
3. GIGABYTE nVidia GeForce RTX 2080Ti, GV-N208TAORUS X-11GC, 11GB, GDDR6, Ret.
How many times will the rendering speed increase when buying more RAM and replacing a video card? And what about video cards that cost $ 5000-10000, do they work so fast?
And which PC is needed for the Mantra to compare with the speed of Redshift. The render Mantra is painfully slow, although the best when it comes to fire and smoke.
