Hi WillA,
It sounds like what you might be looking for is 'Current Operation' in the Parameters pane. When the Curve SOP is selected and you are in edit mode you can enter values and move relative to the current position. (Either select points in the view scene view and then enter the value or enter the point # and then the value)
I hope this is helpful,
Sam
I would like to be able to type in the actual coordinate value.
For example, I want to make sure that certain points in a curve are a specific Z value.
A somewhat cumbersome method, select the point in the view, press the K key, right-click on the handle, select move handle to world origin, and enter the absolute position value in the parameter on the right.
Another more concise method is to set the absolute position value you need in pivot translate in curve sop parameter, and then set the current operator scale to 0, then press enter.

Why not use the name attribute to split the geometry into multiple mesh prims rather than use geometry subsets? The name sop can create names from existing groups. I've found geometry subsets sometimes have funky behavior with materials bleeding from one subset onto another.
When you have more than 300 pieces imported from a modeler that didn't name all, it's kinda hard. That's why assign by groups is good

Hello everyone,
I started to work on a studio a few weeks ago and I faced a problem with my python 3 version of houdini. Also, I had an another error on Shotgun related to a utf-8 code.
I'm going to show both because something asks me that they appear for probably the same reason.

First, thanks to answer!!
I realize the pieces name changed to @name prefix, but the last thing to do I didn't get well.
The first thing I thought is to randomize those groups to get the result, but I'm not sure if it is work.
It's like you know what to do, but don't know how hahahha
Also, I could see that all geo disappear from points when I choose one of the group “name”

Hello people!!
Hope you all alright!
I have a noob question about copy different geometries to a point without using VEX (I just have 2 weeks of learning and I'm not
ready for VEX yet).
I'm trying to model a river cliff with some uniform rocks using voronoi fracture and transform pieces. However, every single time I made this, the whole fractured model goes to the scattered template.
Need some help, because I can't find anything on youtube
Thanks!

Houdini Indie and Apprentice » Noob question about bone

Guys, I finally decided to leave Softimage alone and study houdini after 3 times of non-understading tries.
I was trying to draw bones (nothing difficult) but everytime I need to move or adjust it a kind of cluster keeps to attract my action of moving to it.
It appears like a blue selection everytime I draw the bone and this is not like other versions. Is it something I activate because I'm still getting familiar on UI?
This issue is driving me crazy and I must study.
