and what about if I wan't to set a keyframe ?
i wan't the expression working while frame == 100 .
i try to write a while expression like that :
while($F > 100 && $F<200 ) # to select the keyframe
$F* 0.1 # the promote value
end # end
but look like it doesn't work , can I know more tips about animate VOP please?

I am trying to make 2 material shader get a smooth transfer (blend or mix)
so i add a “mix” in SHOP>VOP, then i write use a channel editor to edit the keyframe.
But it doesn't work , when i render , the value didnt change at all,
and the OP got a yellow border mean error on it
how should i do ? or is it VOP cannot use CHOP ??

Hi , I am doing modeling in Houdini , i had done all the watch , how was it ?
now I wan't to add a wire or chain for the watch , but I lag here , I need some suggestion about the mind idea to build the wire / chain modeling.
So, my question is , what is the concept to use houdini to do model like wire / chain ??
(for example : tell me some node to use or helpful expression or any tips)

glocal variable was just simple enter
echo $F then we can see the value.
but how to get the local variable in node ? (for example copy SOP)
i try:
$ echo `ch(“/obj/geo1/copy1/$CY”)`
and some other's' way but still fails
any solution ?

is there anyway to set a node hotkeys manually?
for example : Ctrl + Alt + G = new geometry node
Ctrl + Alt + T = transform
Ctrl + Alt + E = Edit
the hotkey options in the Edit Menu List looks like doesn't surpport node base hotkeys , any solution ?

question1 : hi , i am newb to Houdini , here is a question , how to make SoftBody & Rigid Body work in a same DOPnet?
here is the jpg files that show my node , there is 2 object (name as “ring”) is rigid body, and 1 object is static body (name as “tube”).
now i hope that the tube can be a little “rigid body + soft body + spring body” behavior (like a rubber tube) , how should i do ?
question 2: i found out that after i put an object into DOP , i cannot make “transform in previous SOP” , it was just static in DOP , that mean i cannot move the TUBE as i want in SOP , what should i do to make the object in DOP transform regarding my transfrom node in previous level SOP ?
for example i wan to make the “tube” up and down and the 2 rings follow with collision effect, how should i do ?

not metaball bcs that means i have to manual edit the model places, if there are many diferent model there , i have to manual edit every model …
