Hi,
I'm creating a Particle OP and actualy i got lots of parameters. I want to clean up all the stuff and group them into different tabs. But how can i create different tabs, theres no description in the “Using Parameters” part of the HDK - documentation.
it would be fantastic if somebody has a clou.

maybe you misunderstood my question, i'm creating a Particle Operator using the HDK and i want to color some of the Polygons/Lines i draw in the viewport in other colors than blue. Im Using the GOP_Guide and GU_PrimPoly to draw the Stuff. Is there a chance to color the blue lines into a green or Red Line ??.
An the other question is there a chance to write text into the viewport, also using the HDK ??.

to visualize my node-internal calculations i want to draw some stuff in the Viewport.
Actual i'm using GU_PrimPoly to draw the stuff with myGuide. Now my question, is it possible to draw in other colors than Blue ??, Red/Green whatever. and .. is it possible to draw text into the viewport ??.
that would help me very much ….

Hi,
another PoP question from me ;-).
I want to store some Data on a per particle basis, such as a the ID of an particle which are connected and the restlength of the string between them.
i didnt find anything in the documentary under pop's, and other important thing is how to make this data available between the frames, so my calculated values are stored in frame X and should also be available in frame x+1.

maybe somebody could help me :-), achtualy i'm writing a pop operator, and to do with the particle what i want, i do something like this
UT_Vector3* accel_ = (UT_Vector3*) myCurrPt->getAttribData(data->getAccelOffset());
UT_Vector3* veloc_ = (UT_Vector3*) myCurrPt->getAttribData(data->getVelocityOffset());
this->particleMgr->addParticle(myCurrPt,accel_,veloc_);
i just wana store the pointer to the GEO_Point Object of the Particle to later have access to the Object.
But Some Function Calls later when i want to access the Position via
this->particles.getPoint().getPos();
where getPoint() returns the Pointer added before with
this->particleMgr->addParticle(myCurrPt,accel_,veloc_);
i got a segmentation fault, maybe because the prevoius stored pointer is not valid anymore.
Now my question, is there an other way to identify a particle unique ??

Hi,
i've created some houdini files at home with my apprentice Version, now we have some temporary licences at our institute, but when i want to open them, houdini wants to switch to non-comercial version.
Is there a way to fix that ?? or do i have to redo all the stuff i've tested ??
