Hi !

if I attach `Polygons As Cattmull-Clark Subdivision` rendering parameter to a geometry (mray 3.6)i get this error:

“ignoring multiple motion vector spaces”

it renders but without motionblur. If i turn it off ,motionblur will be fine.
i tried with H 9.1.246 and mray 3.6.51
Any idea?

thanks in advance

I don't get this issue on my simple test case (please see attached).

I'm running mental ray version 3.6.0.5, revision 20302.

Hi !

Thanks for the scene,i tried, but it crashed also but with other log error:

interrupted by exception code 0xc0000005 (access violation)

If i reduce the Geo Time sample to 1 it renders, but with no blur any higher value make crash with mray3.6.51.
This scene crashes even `Enable Motion Blur` is off but Geo time samples bigger than 1.

(i forgot to mention the platform is windows)

I have set a windows env variable :
MI_SURF_CCMESH to 1 (without it maya and standallone should cause uvseams error).I tried to set it 0 but it also crashes.

thanks in advance

Just to be clear, it was mentalray that crashed?

I don't have 3.6.51 available for testing, but I've sent off a support issue to mental images. It seems to work ok with older versions of mentalray, but not newer versions.

Yes ,mental ray crashed.
When i exported to .mi and tried to render by command line it also crashed.
Maybe in later releases it is fixed, but from autodesk we only have 3.6.51.

Thanks again,

I'm changing the .mi interface a little w.r.t. approximations. If you go to the Tessele tab of the output driver, and change the parameters to:

Approximation: “view length 1 angle 5 all”
Approximate Displace: “view length 1 angle 5 all”

Hopefully this works around the crash in mentalray.

We're on 3.6.51 here (Linux x86_64), and motion blurred ccmeshes aren't crashing, nor do we get an error message.
