Anyone running Apprentice on this? Any reasons why it will not work?
I am running on an 8-core 3.0GHz currently, but have the need for mobile lately.
What say you all?
Thanks.

Yeah same here. I'm on the previous 17“ and no problem here either. Although I've heard that there are some general graphics issues with the new 17” MBP so I'd wait buying one until they sorted it out.

I have been using it for quite intense things and I would say that it works pretty ok for a laptop. But I do recognize quite a difference between my laptops and the quad/octa-core systems at work. But for a laptop, I'm quite satisfied.

My specs:
2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB 667 MHz DDR2
GeForce 8600M GT 512MB
250GB 5400RPM Hard Drive

Pretty much a stock 17" from the previous generation, except that I have the 1920x1200-screen and 4GB memory.

Thank you much for the reply xtimmyx, as someone previously noted, the 2.93 17" unibody's are having problems with their nvidia gfx chipsets. I'm ready to buy but i dont want to be a unibody beta tester, Id rather be a unibody beta tester. Very frustrating because Apple hasn't formally announced any resolution.

Regards,

P.S. Thanks for the reply!!
