How\Can I Transfer UV\texture information with copy sop\vop?

You can see the incoming geometry is already inheriting UV coordinates from the template points, just open a detail view. I'm not a 100% clear on why but my understanding is that the copy SOP transfer the exact point attribute to the incoming geometry which results in each copied geometry having the exact color of the image pixel that falls onto a given template point. In this case you'd want the UV attribute to be interpolated between the points in the incoming geo, based on distance of the template points.
You're better off with the Attribute Transfer SOP, like in the attached file.

Now what I found weird is that unless the “use template point attributes” box is checked off, the attribute transfer SOP won't work properly and I thought that whatever happens down the stream should have precedence over what happens in the copy SOP, which is not the case here I guess… Can anyone tell me why?!
