Ocean Creation

Hello all, trying to follow along with the Ocean creation process and I keep getting stymied on Step 12. Every time I “dive into” the basic liquid shader it's a giant mess of nodes, which is fine, but none of them match up to the ones that the instructions say should be there. You cannot even creaet a VEX Fractal Node at that level. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Brad,
That's because the entire workflow for shaders changed and the help has not been updated. The surface shader now contains all your elements rolled into one

See attached. You can always dive inside and investigate whats going on under the hood

hi circusmonkey,

if you create sticky note, where you made changes it would be quite easy for beginners like me to understand… and also tell me how you used the floor fracture procedure, please share it if you dont mind, i just know to use cookies.

Sorry but I just do not often have the time to edit and describe everything I do. Its up to you to do your home work by diving inside and poking around !
