This is strange.

So I have a project open in Houdini Indie (doesn't matter which version) and in about 5-15 minutes or so, as I'm working on my other computer, and Houdini is just sitting there idle, it crashes.

Windows 10, iCore 7 6950 with 128GB of ram and Titan Pro Pascal.

Anyone have that happen? Any suggestions?

I would guess that some kind of screen saver or power setting is kicking in and causing Houdini to crash. I have to customize power settings on all my computers on various OS. Typically I make it never go to sleep but to turn off the display monitor after 10-15 minutes if idle. I set my disk drives to never fall asleep as well. So only the screen ever really turns off.
