Hello, Everyone

Iwanted to ask, how can one go about creating this kind of Unfolding Polygons animation
as seen in the picture attached and at the link below:

I have attached the file

http://www.tokeru.com/cgwiki/?title=Houdini#Unfolding_polys [www.tokeru.com]

Screenshot (11).png

I am trying to do such an animation using the for each named primitive loop but im failing
I have attached the file

And the keyframes i set using a detail makes the keyrames to be stepped instead of bezier
because the rotation just jump from value to value no transition in between

Is it simple to setup?

Thank you very much and looking forward to your response

I looked at your hip, but I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve. Can you explain the outcome a little more clearly?

Hi mestela

Thanks for checking up my hip file

I am basically trying to recreate exactly the same animation as seen in the little gif animation i have attached above
but i want to use for each loop instead

In the animation, polygons appear to fold one after the other until in the end they create a complete shape

its almost like a domino falling effect

TI winder if for each loop can do this because it can make it simpler

Thank you

Ok, but moving on paths from a center point like in my original gif, or just staggered timing going from the first polygon to the last (which will move in rows across the grid)?

Hi Mestela

Yes I want it to do as you described: staggered timing going from the first polygon to the last (which will move in rows across the grid)

Thats what I am looking for

Thank you

Ok here's 2 versions, the one on the left is how I'd probably do it, the one on the right is I think what you're asking to do.
