View Port problem

houdini has view rotation of lightwave modler ??? it has view rotation like max or maya right bllleeeeaseee tell me ????????????
like max arc rotate tool it is very odd for max or maya users to to work in houdini when the are use to max or maya :?

Houdini supports multiple tumbling modes.

Settings -> Main Preferences -> 3D Viewports

I suspect you'll want 80's style.

yeah I was really weirded out by Houdini's view stuff at first too, it's strange if your used to Max etc. I really appreciate it now since you can much more easily move through the scene and look on the bottom or tops of objects.

One thing to do is if you're in the habit of arc rotating in Max from an angle, you'd really want to use more of a side swipe sort of rotate to do the same thing in Houdini; and keep the CTRL+space bar handy to compensate when needed.

You might not know it, but even using Houdini's default tumbling mode, if you hold Alt while tumbling it will constrain to the axis you started tumbling around. This makes it behave temporarily like Max or Maya. If you want that all the time, try 80s Style Euler.
