I have developed something in apprentice that I want to use in a commercial license.

I understand that .hipnics don't work in the commercial license but can I at least copy and paste nodes?

I think you can save the node tree as .bgeo and import that into your other Houdini.

Either that or rebuild it manually…but you already knew that.

Sorry for necrosing this, but I do have the same question since when I open 2 instances of Houdini 20 apprentice I can copy paste everything from one to the other.
So is it only working with the same license?

It works with different licenses but when you paste nodes that were copied from an Apprentice file, it will convert your commercial file into Apprentice because you're not allowed to use Apprentice to do commercial work.
