Hi SESI.
Making an effect I need to create some custom string attributes for my particles in POPs.
With the Attribute POP or Add Attribute VOP I can't create string attributes in POP context.
I don't if I can do it with pure VEX, I suppose I can but obviously I prefer to have it enable from the Attribute or Add Attribute operators.
I am using H 8.2.13 Linux.
Thanks.
Un saludo
Best Regards

I believe string attributes are currently not supported in POPs.
There's at least one school like the old school!

Mmmm I think not.
the sprite POP created the spriteshop attribute that actually is a string attribute, I think that the Instance POP do the same creating the instance attribute that is another string attribute.
So I think that POP supports string attributes, the problems is that users cannot create them, at least using any operator or VEX.
Un saludo

Does it need to be in pops or could a sop access a numeric attribute from the pops and then put a string there instead / replacing that attribute?

This does appear to be an oversight. I've submitted an RFE.
