WTF? Someone posted in another mailing list I'm on that at N.A.B., along with the gorgeously sexy Red 4K digital camera showing Peter Jackson's new short on the jaw dropping Sony 4K projector, there was a room where Houdini was being shown accelerated by a PS3 Cell processor. I suppose a press release is in the works, but anyone have any comments? IBM has just announced they're going to start installing Cells in their mainframes(!), so I'm very curious about this.

Cough it up, SESI!

Side Effects Software worked on a technology demonstration involving Sony's
Cell+RSX processor and the SXRD 4K projector that was presented to an invitation-only crowd at NAB.

As this was a Sony presentation, it will be up to them to share any details with a broader audience. Side Effects Software is not planning to issue a press release about the demonstration.

Too bad. I'll wait for the Giant Sony Machine to make up it's mind…
