TheNotepadShowIt's quite frustrating, I upgraded to ubuntu 25 so I have this issue too.
No updates... There is absolutely no Wayland support in Houdini. Possibly 21.5 or 22.0? This is just a guess.
You can fix the scrolling issue (or at least it did for me) by installing the qt5 version of houdini. Sadly, houdini isn't very stable though on wayland.
Edit: I didn't see the posts before, looks like you already tried this.

I have this problem on Ubuntu 26.04/Gnome 50/Wayland as well.
Holding space works for the graph editor (although hardly great), it also affects scrolling in file browser or parameter windows. If I hover over the scroll bar on the parameter window it does seem to work and so does dragging a value around on a parameter with the middle mouse button.
Hoping to avoid going back to Cinnamon, but this is pretty obnoxious.

While this issue is frustrating, it's a smaller issue.
I've recently tried an application what went all-in on Wayland. Unfortunately that category of applications relies in large parts on third-party plugins, and there are no plugins with Wayland support which means the plugin's UI's can't be used. And the UI's are really needed.
Just to put it into perspective...
