You cannot edit Karma VOP materials (Material Builder) with this node. You can only edit USD aspects of materials, such as material parameters.
In the Material path parameter, enter the path to an existing VOP material in the USD scene tree.
Click Load. This node will recreate the material as a node inside this node’s network.
Dive inside this node (double-click the node in the network editor).
Edit the node’s parameters and/or connections.
To edit a parameter, first turn on the checkbox next to the parameter in the parameter editor. If a parameter is checked, the node will “overwrite” the material with the new parameter value. If a parameter is not checked, its old value is passed through unchanged.
The node’s output stage contains the edited version of the material, re-translated back into USD.
Number of Materials
This node can edit multiple materials at once. Set the number of materials you want to edit, or use the plus and minus buttons to add or remove edits.

Once you have filled in the Material path (above), click this to recreate the material as a VOP node inside this node’s network. Changing the parameters and connections on the recreated node is how you edit the material.
This is the name of the recreated VOP node inside this node’s network to use to edit the material. This is automatically filled in when you click Load.
