This node primarily aims to provide renderers with a richer set of data about the movement of fast-moving objects, to improve motion blur. It enables a workflow where a Cache LOP can be used to generate a fairly low-frequency set of time samples across the stage, and then this LOP can be used to selectively resample the data only for the prims that need it, minimising the data footprint.
The primitive(s) the node should operate on. You can drag primitives from the scene graph tree pane into this textbox to add their paths, or click the Reselect button beside the text box to select the primitives in the viewer, or ⌃ Ctrl-click the Reselect button to choose prims from a pop-up tree window.
