OK, I'm coming from Cinema 4D and all its keyboard shortcuts. I keep messing myself up in Houdini trying to use them.
So now my viewport is like the uploaded photo. If you look at the perspective view, it's all stretched out and messed up. However, the orthographic views are all normal.
I started a new project and everything is fine, but when I open this project, the perspective view is all stretched.
I'll bet you a beer that you have some weird object level scaling on one of your objects check to make sure that the Scale Parameter of all you Objects are uniform: 1, 1, 1 … 3, 3, 3, is OK 1, 2, 5 is NOT OK
if you want to scale at the Object Level it's best to use the Uniform Scale Parameter
can you attach an example scene? this only ever happens to me when I have a non-uniform scale at the object level but if it's something else a scene file would help track it down
Yep - the obj level needs to be non-uniformed scaled, but it changes the orthographic viewport behaviour based on the Hide Others/show all. See attached gif.
