I know: particles rule.
But could u tell me witch movie use Houdini for character animation? Are there any movies done completely with this soft?

Many people tell me that there is only Maya in this area…

funny you should ask….just this week The Wild opens in theaters…almost the entire film was done in Houdini…including all the character animation.

So, typical stupid question
In Poland Houdini just doesn't exist “Oh… Do you mean this particles plugin for Maya?” ;D
I've tested this soft last 2 weeks and I'm impressed but now I'm trying to get some more informations…

Anything else except “The Wild”?

While I'm sure some character work was done in the older versions of Houdini, it has only been within the last few releases that all the character tools have been fully flushed out.

My memory is fuzzy. Offhand, I recall the spider-like character in eXistenZ and the Matrix.

Not forgeting Valiant, and don't DNA use Houdini?

as far as I've seen Valiant didn't use Houdini for character animation, and I can say for certain that Ant Bully isn't.

Angela Anaconda: 2D cut-out style but done in Houdini

Hydra character in Disney's Hercules

Assorted bugs, ants, cockroaches in commercials. etc.
