i am animating some parameters on nodes at SOP level
i have set autoscope on them
but when I select the node no parameters are added to my channel editor

I do not want to promote all needed parameters to OBJ level
because i need to prepare some SOP Digital Assets with animations inside

is this not working on purpose because it is expected to animate at OBJ level?
I can live without it, but if anybody knows how to get it to work, or that it should work please let me know

It does appear that autoscoping is designed to only be used on objects, it's even inferred in the docs. I agree, that seems odd.

I tend to agree. I would like to see that if any node is selected, then any parameters bound to that node that have the autoscope flag on should show up in the channel list.

Would be very handy if you had to animate SOP parameters.

For now you can drag and drop the parameters in to the Channel List Group section. Then use the groups to animate with.

Yes unfortunately, you're right. I've often wanted it to work at SOP level myself. I believe there is a RFE for this in… Jeff, could you check, perhaps?

I couldn't find it with a quick search so I submitted a new RFE.
