Hi,
Is there an easy way to get the rotation value of a camera when using a constraint (look at)? The camera moves (translation values) but rotation values do not change.
Best wishes,
Thomas

Hi,
If I move the camera around and create keyframes, the camera does not move. I have to first move out of the camera in perspective mode, then move the camera with “t” and then the camera moves as in the timeline (via keyframes) specified. Why is this?
Best wishes,
Thomas

Hi,
Is there a way to create one variable (e.g. $MYPATH) with different values on different computers?

Oh, when in object merge, I normally use Transform “Into this object.” This was the problem… I changed it to “None.” Now it works! Thanks though!

Hi,
I don't use a Transformation node. I'm NOT in the geometry node, but I'm on obj level and use the “Transform” tab to transform and rotate.
Best wishes,
Thomas

Hi,
If I rotate/translate a specific node, the translation/rotation takes place only for UV, not for the geometry. It's only for two specific nodes, all other seem to work quite right. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Hi,
Is there a way to create a master material and then use this material for other materials. I want to create one material and then use different texture displacement maps.
Best wishes,
Thomas

Hi,
When creating an object merge, it doesn't give me all groups of the merge. It is constantly missing the first object in the object merge. Is this a bug?

Hi,
I don't know why but when I select a node, e.g. a box, I see the node in the viewport as a template. If I click elsewhere and click again on the node, I don't see it anymore. Is this a bug or a setting issue?
Best wishes,
Thomas

Hi,
I import Alembic with wrong motion vectors from another software. Is there any possibility to create a new “motion vector” in Houdini without doing much?

Hi,
I found that unchecking “Transform Geometry To World Space” do the trick, but then, all parts are somewhere else. Importing via the Menu File->Import->Alembic creates a net of Alembic nodes (Archive, XForm etc.). At that point, I could use a new Object Merge node inside of a Geo node; then, I could use ROP Alembic to export. Now, it's fine.
Thanks!
Best wishes,
Thomas

Hi,
I've got a small problem. Whenever I import an Alembic file into Houdini and export it back to an Alembic file, the Alembic file gets really big. It's 10-30 times bigger than the original file. Any idea why this happens?
Best wishes,
Thomas
