hello.
just trying to crteate simple simulation but I see that DOP network viw is much bigger than fluid view, so the import from DOP network is distorted.
How it is possible and what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks. I tried also to do not check “Preserve World space positions”. It looks wrong but works correct

Hello.
Newbie question:
I'm trying to make a simulation - glass with water sphere inside falls on ground and brakes. The only problem is that Houdini crashes when I use FLIP solver with rigid body, so I tried to switch from Bullet to RBD engine. It works better with flip solver but the glass doesn't brake. Also It doesn't brake even if I make the glass shattered and attributed as RBD fractured object. Also I found that initial state also doesn't work with RBD engine.
So, what I'm doing wrong with RBD engine? Bullet engine works good, but I need RBD engine for some simulations
Thanks

I made a simple simulation with breaking glass and liquid. I trieв to export liquid mesh and broken glass mesh to obj format and import them to 3rd party software to render. Both meshes are ok, but their mutual position is wrong. How iss possible to keep meshes position during export?

hello.
I made a simple simulation with particles - torus jumps out from fluid tank (I used two keyframes - torus inside tank and after 5 frames torus outside tank). I used surface collisions fot torus. now I'm trying to export my object and splash to obj file. and I have a problem:
when I'm converting particles to mesh it comes into my torus because convertion creates a coves around every particle. so, the final mesh intersects my object.
could anyone help me, please?

so, I resolved the problem of sticking objects with keyframes.
but I still can't work with fbx files and I don't know if it is possible to export from Indie version a whole scene frame with meshed liquid and fallen objects.

I'm trying to say that my bottle (rbd or static object) doesn't hold a liquid (flip) and the liquid comes through the bottle. and also my bottle (rbd) doesn't hold cork (rbd) and label (rbd) during movements, so they don't fall together.

hello. just installed Houdini Apprentice and try to make some simulations. and have some problems.
my model is a bottle which contains also cork, tap and label.
1. How is possible to “stick” all parts together? I tried some variations and also combine, but every time my parts are run out from the body. Any idea?
2. When I imported fbx objects and turn them to rigid bodies they didn't fall down in some reason. What's wrong?
3. How is possible to save geometry of animation frame? I tried with liquid simulation and saved liquid's mesh but can't do the same for an object which falls in liquid.
Thank you.

1. I have a same problem, but you can create a tank first of all. in this way it is possible
