For me this does not work. I've bought my license on 11.3 which is of course a 12.0 license. I have tried to install the license again, by returning and checking out using the licence administrator but I always get a 12.1 HD Version. So the question is, is it possible to update a 12.1 HD version to 12.5 HD ?

Hi,
on my laptop the “server code” changes every time I restart the “License Administrator” (without any reboot, restart or standby wakeup). Just a new start of the program returns a new server code.
@WhoDjini thanks for the answer - there is nothing special in my network configuration just a “simple” acer laptop. The MAC adresses are always the same - one for the cable bound LAN and one for the wifi network.
I tried also to change the location of the licenses.local file without any effect.
cheers

For me the “physical network” workaround does not work. Every time when I open the License Administrator it changes my “License server code” so it always says the the current installed one is invalid. The Houdini version is 11.0.460 on Win Vista 32.
(I have deleted my C:\windows\keys\licenses.local file on purpose, so this is not the problem)
thanks

Hi,
there is a very good paper covering render passes:

Now you're talking! Kudos to Graham - that works great, and it's elegant. In fact I think I might create a re-usable digital asset out of it for future use.

I just played around a little bit and here it is ! Maybe someone is interested.

Hi,
there is not much to say about your first issue, but pressing INS to move the pivot works for me without any snapping (if snapping is deactivated).
The second issue is the normal behaviour. If you click on the label of your parameter it toggles between the actual value and the interpolation function which can be seen - if you scope your channel (SHIFT MMB) - in the Channel Editor. For further information there is a good tutorial on CHOP's at http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1052&Itemid=257 [sidefx.com]

I have the same problem with 9.5.350 on Win XP 64 / 4 GB / GeForce 8600GT. Houdini 9.5.303 works without any problems on the same PC.

Hi,
I tried to import this FBX file in Houdini Apprentice 9.5.303. This file was initialy exported from Blender. It works fine in MotionBuilder Trial, but neither the original exported File nor the reexported one form MotionBuilder can be imported in Houdini properly. It seems that the local Bone coordinates are broken in some way. Does anybody have an idea ?
regards
Chris

Are you sure you are using the same MFC Version and the same linking option (static/dynamic) as your Houdini installation ?
