Hi,
I`ve got an other question
Let`s say I have got 2 groups of objects : Spheres A and Cubes B
How would you do something like : if one of Cube B intersects with one of Sphere A, delete the concerned intersected sphere .
cheers
Julien

Technical Discussion » Knife Digital Asset ?

Hello Everybody,
I`m trying to buid a Lightwave like knife tool in Houdini.
( For those unfamiliar with it, it basically cuts polygons using one line in the orthos viewports)
So I though that maybe a digital asset would be a good idea. Something like line ->polyextrude -> cookie -> fuse .
Do you guys think that it is the way to do it ? If so, how can I detect the viewport I am in, in order to polyextrude my cutting line along the good axis ?
Thanks !
Julien

I used Houdini for the body (see other WIP in the forum) and for the rigging , for all the projected stuff and for all objects that could have been created proceduraly.
I used LW for general polygon shapes , topology and wrinkles, though I think I should try to create a wrinkle OTL, like the script in LW modeler..

Hello Everybody,
Here is a character work in progress, I used Houdini and Lightwave for modeling, I still have to fix some stuff.
I plan to render it with Mantra

I think I wasn't very clear in my question
Is there some kind of expression I could use to “select” polygons with more than 4 points ? in order to blast them after, without having to select them in the viewport
thanks

Hello,
I wondered how to blast or at least group polygons with more than 4 points
Thanks in advance,
Julien

Hello everybody,
I'm looking for a way to create a Distant Light in Houdini,it's also called Infinite light or Vector Light. It may sound like an obvious question, but I can't find it
Thanks in advance

Hi Everybody,
Here is a WIP of the head that should go with the body I'm actually modeling
Well … it's not finished and it's pretty hard to tell about the proportions when the skull isn't finished but anyway, comments welcome !

well in fact the topology isn't very clean yet, there are still too much triangles
I'll post a back shot when I get back working on the model 8)

Hello everybody,
Here is a little Work in Progress, I wanted to prove myself that I could built an organic model within Houdini
The topology isn't cleaned yet, that's why you can see some strange subdivision effects , I have got some opengl artifacts too .
Comments welcome !

Hi Everybody,
I have got a little workflow question
I wonder how to render separate buffers of an image, for example a diffuse pass, a specular pass, a reflection pass, etc .. and them composite them with COPS, can I do that with Deep Rasters ?
thanks in advance
