Hi,
I want to pull some cloth at a specific frame after it covers a collision object, but can't find how.
Thanks for ideas. I've made a group of points to pin and piped these group into a pointwrangle:
if(@Frame > 40 && @Frame < 80) {
@P.y += (@Frame-40)/20;
}
but the group pinned from the start (what is logic ;o),

Hi,
having fun with vellum. I use an animated horse (always the same point count) as input and after hairgen I get different count each frame. Limited it generate on “points” solves that (not what I want). But after that I get strange polys (see pictures). If I use longer hair this problem became a white screen (full with polys;o))
Any idea?

Hi seelan,
thanks this will be a good idea. For now I use “child-material name” and “parent.parent-name” in Unity to get what I need.

Hi,
OK, my asset works (just some selfmade problems). But I can't find a solution for what I want to do:
1) Flat curve in Houdini
2) Asset in Houdini workes fine
3) Can't get the Houdini curves into Unity (nothing visible)
4) A Unity/Houdni curve object in Unity workes fine without auto update. Each time I edit the curve I have to recook the Asset
I want to import the original Houdini Curve (as HDA) into Unity
than ray this onto my Unity terrain and bring this into my Wall-Asset
Don't know if it is better to import a 400kb fbx file into unity, than building it with an Asset inside Unity?

Hi again,
another thing: I've made an HDA to build walls and inside I polyextrude and other things. But adding the HDA to unity triangulates my geo, so nothing works like I want. Do you have any idea?

Hi,
yes it snaps while building the curve, but I want it import a flat curve from Houdini and than ray it to the unity terrain. There are some videos from older versions…

Hi,
I have an asset with a network of objects and null objects. How can I get this structure into the Unity hierarchy.
It works with FBX but as asset I always have only a list ob objects without my null objects.

I've deleted the Houdini folders as in your description. I'll do it again tomorrow;o)
My build settings are “PC, Mac, Linux standalone”
Target Platform: Windows X86 64
My graphic card is a AMD FirePro W5100… not enough?

importing the shader brings up:
“Shader warning in ‘vertex_fluid’: Shader is not supported on this GPU (none of subshaders/fallbacks are suitable)”
And no field for importing my textures are there…

sorry after installation can't find “Plugins/HoudiniEngineUnity/Scenes/ParamModifierExample.unity”
The “New Curve Asset” work fine but adding another script:
1) Assets/scripts/HoudiniApiAssetAccessorExample.cs(49,27): error CS0246: The type or namespace name `HoudiniApiAssetAccessor' could not be found. Are you missing an assembly reference?
and I always get a warning:
Assets/Plugins/HoudiniEngineUnity/Scripts/Render/HEU_MaterialFactory.cs(348,5): warning CS0618: `UnityEngine.ProceduralMaterial' is obsolete: `Built-in support for Substance Designer materials has been deprecated and will be removed in Unity 2018.1. To continue using Substance Designer materials in Unity 2018.1, you will need to install a suitable third-party external importer from the Asset Store.'

Yes it's build by Houdini. But I can't find the “vertex_soft_body_shader” where I can insert the PositionMap.
