Hello guys, and thanks for the reply.
To solve the problem, I created a "collision" SDF from grains points, and then by using a "Volume Source" DOP node, I applied "collision" and "velocity" to the "Volume Velocity" input of FLIP Solver, and it work like charm.

Technical Discussion » Interaction between FLIP and Grain, is it possible?

hi guys,
I tried to create interaction between FLIP and Grains,
In my simulation, the FLIP pushes the grains, but the grains don't affect the FLIP particles (it seems one direction collision)!
How can I fix it?
And is there any tutorial about the interaction between FLIP and Grains?
Thanks for helping.

Hi;
I would like to apply taper in just one direction as you can see in the image below.
How is it possible in Houdini?

Technical Discussion » How can I add velocity to particles from a smoke (volume)?

Hi;
I would like to add some velocity to particles from a volume (smoke), so I tried to use “POP Attribute from volume”, but it doesn't work.
How can I fix it?
Actually, “POP advect from volume” works, but I would like to ADD/Multiply the velocity to particles, not advect them.

Hi;
By right-clicking on geometry, we can save it as some other formats for say “.bgeo”, right? So, in the file browser extensions, Houdini shows some extensions that seem irrelevant! I mean we can't save geometries as “jpeg” or “tiff”…
Is this a bug?
Thanks for helping.

Hello;
I would like to use the existing UV of my imported geometry as a starting point of UV mapping, So I tried UVFlatten SOP. The problem is by selecting “Preserve Seams”, it locks existing UV seams and I can't sew them.
How can I fix it?
Thanks for helping.

Hi;
In UVFlatten SOP, I have some issues with the way UVFlatten displays cut seams. As you can see the problem in the image below, when I zoom in, it doesn't show the seams properly. I tried to solve it by decreasing the wireframe->wire width in the geometry tab of display options, but it doesn't work. Is this a bug?
Thanks for helping.

Hello;
After I watched this video: “Battle Worms, Birds, and Big Blue Beings | Ahmed Gharraph | Houdini HIVE Worldwide”, I tried to create a pile of worms like what I saw in that video:
But here is what I made:
To animate the worms I tried to apply a sinusoidal wave velocity force to them using a “SOP solver” in Vellum DOP, but the motion of the worms is unnatural in my scene.
Can anyone help me to fix the problem?
Thanks for helping.

Hi;
In a SOP, I would like to use the prim expression function (https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/expressions/prim.html), but I don't know how to retrieve the primitive number. I mean in this expression:
Can I use $PR instead of number 3?
I think I can't use @primnum cause this is an expression, right?
Thanks for helping.

Hello;
In the Solaris stage (network), we can use “Light Placement Modes” to place the “Diffuse”, “Shadow” and … on a specified position. Is there any way to mimic that for lights outside of Solaris?
Thanks for helping.

Thanks “animatrix_”,
But I wonder why they don't add the “MPM” system to Houdini!
I watched an “anisoMPM” presentation in Siggraph 2020 which was very amazing…
