There are 3 or 4 example files in the help-browser, just search for Fur and you get a couple. The other way is to download files from the forum and start messing around with them. Basically you build your own tools. The examplefiles are a good start. I started with the forum files a year a go and to day we have made a 3d polarbear rigged, fured, and rendered in Houdini.
And it's better then all the tools I come across earlier.
Good Luck

With Windows it could be that you have to set the licensserver in License Admin to either localserver or some remotemachine. Don't set the licenseserver to be “hserver” .
Or it could be the firewall, or even the host file under /SYSTEM/drivers/etc.

Hi Indarios
We have setup a renderfarm just recently and we had the same problems.
Fix the host file in /etc/hosts as such:
127.0.0.1 localhost
(your local ip adress) drip
(rendernode ipadress) name
It is important that you don't mix or alter the localhost line.
You have to have the same file on all machines so they can all contact each other.
You also have to have setup Hserver in the hserver.opt file, there is more to read about this under
http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=702&Itemid=229 [sidefx.com]
Hserver has to be running on all rendernodes and you have.
If you are running machines on diffrent subnetworks the mask have to be changed +.+.+.*, but this is over my head.
Hope this help

Modell the plane in SOP and the use the Cookie SOP to split up your airplane in the pieces that will go into DOP and be the actually chunks that are ripped apart when the airplanes collide.
Look for help in houdini help and search for
Cookie Sop
Glued RBD object
Collision Data ( for particles to be generated from the chunks that rips apart)
A good tip is to buy the Rigid Body Dynamics DVD from Gnomon.
It's great.
Have a nice help surfing in Houdini
Good Luck
