Are you sure you have the aanoise set to vector and not float type? As for the other problem, a hip file would help.

I don't know if it will help, but I just answered a similar question here: https://www.sidefx.com/forum/topic/79580/?page=1#post-342453. [www.sidefx.com]
Didn't use CHOPs in the end again... a long time ago I would have, but the Solver SOP has made this possible to do w/o CHOPs.

Here is a solution. I first did it with CHOPs but it was way too complicated and still wouldn't work. This method uses a SOP solver and time offsets.
Be sure to re-cache the filecache node in "Wave_to_trigger" for this to work.
Also, had to switch to poly object for the dop impacts to work.

Lostboys (Campus D'Effets Visuels MTL) is looking for a new Houdini FX TD to work as a teaching assistant starting September 2021.
You need to be an expert in at least a few aspects of Houdini and fluent in English.
This is a great job for a recent grad or junior TD. You will get tons of experience in Houdini and be skilled in all aspects of VFX and Houdini, as well as making great industry contacts.
For more info, contact contact@campusvfx.com

If you randomly scale individual pieces, they will intersect. If you're okay with that, here is a solution.
For exporting individual pieces, just lay down a blast SOP, then in the viewportdouble click on the indivdual blocks you want to export... this will select connected pieces only. Invert the selection, then right click and "Save Geometry".

It should be in your home dir in the houdini18.5 folder called
For me this would be:
Houdini.keymap.overrides

Technical Discussion » TOPS python script hou.setPwd() problem

Hi, I've got a TOPS process that creates a series of temp bgeo files. I want to then have a waitfor all and finally a TOPS python script TOP to create a bunch of file SOPs in an already existing object, and then load those temp files, merge them, then finally save out a new, merged sequence.
In my TOP python OP, I am trying to opcf to the correct node to add the file SOPs, and I have the line:
I get type errors on this line. Is this somehow not supported? Can I not create nodes in another network on the fly in TOPs?

Hi,
You can add The OGL Viewport Comment (vcomment) property to camera from render properties section of spare parameter editor.
This is cool! Any way to creat a line break though? I tried adding "\n" and even "\\n" and (GAD!) "\\\n" and no dice.
EDIT: Actually, putting the text in a python SOP with line breaks, then using this as a channel ref works. It's a bit ugly though.

How are you starting Houdini and what OS? If you just start Houdini, it should just load a new session.

So you've got some kind of shell script that does one video at a time? Seems like you could be doing a lot more, depending on your number of cores... have you looked at PDG to do marshal the rendering and do the ffmpegs after each render is done? This will ensure that you use all of your cores and don't have any CPU idle time.

I looked at your file, and I don't see what changes you made. There was no wrangle in the DOP network like I showed. I added it and here is the file, let me know if this is what you wanted.

I don't understand... by removing the primitive, you are removing the constraint. I played it and it seemed to work, maybe I don't understand what you're trying to do.

I'm not sure why it doesn't work... it seems to be evaluting only at the first frame. I unlocked it and put your code here and it works:
EDIT: Ooops... used a pop wrangle instead of point wrangle, but it works anyway.

Hi pankajFX,
It's important to note that the res of your sim doesn't mean much without knowing how big it gets. How many voxels is the sim at 100 frames?
What are the values in the second column, (the red one)? A hi-rez sim is typically has values of 400-500 here, (and even higher if you have a capable machine). This is obviously a very lo-rez sim.

Try opfind. Open a textport (alt shift t), and if your material is called "foo" you would type "opfind foo". This tells you all the objects referencing "foo".
Now if you want to change it to "fum":

Yes, don't alter the density in your sim. This affects threshold lookups and your sim will look different. In general, the values going into pyro should be normailized 0-1.
Either do what Enviob suggested, or adjust the density in your shader, or use a Volume mix SOP which gives you a ramp to remap the denisty field.

EnivobYes, tried that, doing some more experiments today though.
I assume you checked the obvious, FPS. Houdini defaults to 24fps. Perhaps kdenlive is running at 30fps?
