Hi!
I'm using a pointvop to affect a scatter node to place some trees around.
I'm using the V to affect the density (since I'm not using the velocity for anyting else) and I use the N to affect the rotation of the trees. Is there a way to affect the scale of each trees from the vop?

I didn't think about that! I'll have to explore that option.
I'm doing everything in maya and I'm a noob in houdini. I would prefere to use houdini for what I can't do in maya only.

Hi!
I've modeled a terrain in World Machine and I've exported the geo to houdini. I would now want to import the splat maps generated in WM and get them in vop so I can scatter trees/rocks with those maps.
So, I simply want to know how to import a bitmap in vop.
I'm a big zero at coding so I'm looking for simple nodes workflow.

I'm thinking about using houdini to scatter some rocks on a terrain. The problem is I want to render it in maya with redshift using proxies.
Would it be simple to get the info of the scattering (translate, rotate, scale) of each rock so I can instance rock proxies at those coordinates?
(I'm a big zero at coding)
