I wish to center the pivot of a Geo to the geometry inside… In Maya I would just hit the center pivot button.

I have yet to figure out how to do that in Houdini.

in a Transform SOP type $CEX, $CEY, $CEZ in the pivot fields, I have these set as defaults for that node since they're used so much (and easier to remove than to type in every time)

hi, right-click and deselect ‘Attach to geometry’ and note the pivot changes to reflect this. Move the pivot as you like, then repeat to reattach back to geometry.

There's a “Center Pivot” tool on the Modify shelf.

Because I am transforming all the objects at object level, not sop… :roll:

ps. Yes I know you can hit the insert key and edit the pivot but I need it to be perfectly centered in the mesh

What Dragos suggested functions on object level

The Center Pivot tool works at the object level and modifies the Pivot parameter on the Obj. It's like you'd middle click on the last SOP inside, read the Center values and type them into the Pivot fields.
