-u object Beta-version of a texture baker
I have no idea how to use it.

try something like this make sure that there are no displacement shader attached to your geometry. currently that is not supported mantra -u /obj/geo2:uv

If your geo type is Bezier, Nurbs or a Mesh you can try the “Bake VEX” Sop also. jim.

Doesn't “Bake VEX” just bake the results of the VEX shaders onto the points or CV's of the object? I don't think it really creates proper texture maps, but I never used it. -Craig

Correct. I tried the Bake Vex SOP on 6.1.149 Irix and the results were screwy. Haven't tried it on any newer versions or Windows yet.
