I have downloaded Houdini and trying to start with a non commercial license and it says it does so and ask me if I wan't to start Houdini Mater but if I do so I'm forced back to install a license.
In the license manager it says that a license for the Master is installed.
Why can't I start?
thx!

hi, i had the same problem tonight when i tried win32 8.0.331. it wouldnt connect for a license, then it wouldnt accept the manually entering of keys either, saying i already had a server entry. i tried it a few times (without the server line not sure if that helped it still gave the error) and eventually houdini loaded.

If you're on Windows, i'd do something like this:
- Turn off the Houdini License Client and Houdini License Server *services*
- The license file should be in C:\Windows\keys. You can try just renaming it.
- Turn back on the above services.
Does your machine have more than one IP address? It sounds like the license you retrieved used one IP address but then when you run Houdini it validates using a different one.
