Hello there,
I am running in an issue which causes my dropdown menu of Houdini to turn black when ever I try to select something in it. I pretty much narrowed the problem down to OpenGL / directX.

Something is not running smooth in my Windows 10 / EVGA 1080 GTX combo.
I'll attach a screenshot with the problem.

I don't have that issue when I was using my onboard graphics card for testing purposes. I updated all my drivers and deinstalled everything NVIDIA related before. But nothing does help.

Any ideas of what I could do to get this solved ?

On another node: I also have viewport issues in Autodesk Maya. I could resolve the problem by switching the Viewport render from OpenGL to directX and back again. But after the latest windows update it all got messed up again. This is an ongoing issue now.

Thank you so much!

We've had reports that the 370 drivers are not stable with Houdini. Try a 360-series driver if you're using those (I'm using 367).

I've been having issue with the GTX 1080 on Windows 7, I get a segmentation fault in Houdini when the screen blanks or the monitor is powered off. These cards are so new it looks like they're still working out the kinks

I'm wondering if its something with Houdini…

I'm using GTX 980 (with win 8.1) and if I have a drop down menu ‘open’ in Houdini then go to my task bar and maximize another program the drop down menu persists staying on top in my display.

It will only go away if I go back into Houdini and ‘close’ it.

I've been thinking for quite a while about the RFE/bug reporting system.

There should be something like a special forum where RFEs and bugs ( especially RFEs ) could be voted up, so that the coolest RFEs would stand out more, and most likely addressed first.

This in itself is the coolest RFE as far as I can think as of now. If you agree, just type +=1
