Hi,

I am still learning Houdini a lot and liking it.

Me and my team are currently exploring the option to use hand-held simple drawings to produce assets, and I've been quite successful in doing so with masks on a heighfield.
However, I now need to convert a line into a curve for maximum flexibility and I don't quite know how to proceed, my process for now is isolating a color within an Image Network and converting it to polygons with “Trace” node; but extracting a curve out of it is beyond my abilities.

Additionally, drawings can have unexpected data (like a point, or extra line that is obviously a mistake). If you have any suggestion to clean it out that would be awesome.

Cheers,

The GameDev Toolset has an Edge Group to Curve node. Would that help you out at all?

Thanks a lot @srletak76 ! That's going to be very helpful, I never heard about this lib before.

Still, I'm starting to believe our problem could be handled with much more powerful algorithms that would output classed data.

Cheers,
