yes I did. So the release is going to be in mid-October?

I'm setting my calendar notification for October 15th which is a Friday!

I don’t think I’ve ever clicked a link faster than that Download Houdini 19 Beta button. Alas, didn’t work. I’d love to be a beta tester though.

I'm really looking forward to the brain to Houdini interface. Hook up the headset, press make it pretty and Houdini downloads it from your brain, builds and rigs it.

Sorry about that e-mail blast folks - we were doing a dry run and it went out a lot farther and wider than was intended.

Admit it. The heat from this thread was way too hot and someone fainted and hit that red button by accident! Muahahaha...so October 15th it is!

Well, those who have chance to try out H19, have fun. I guess its a reward for those who are paying full price. I cant really complain, but also can’t wait to see the improvements.

Completely unacceptable behaviour. As compensation, we demand that everyone in this thread immediately be enrolled into the beta program. If not, we're all moving to 3ds max.

All I want is for Karma to be fully ready!

I wish full feature list link worked. Can't wait!

This is what many want too... I don't need Karma GPU neither other bell and whistles, just feature parity (at least for basic shading nodes, curvature for instance doesn't work yet) and noticeable performance improvements compared to Mantra. That alone will stop my endless frustrating and tiring ride of testing third party engines.

I actually really like 2 releases a year, but I wonder that 1 year cycles might be better in general.
They have more time to refine the product that is “on the way” as well as the product that is already here aka 18.5.

But I really hope they do their sneak peak well like every time! It’s way way way better than those “apple like talk videos” or those “boring half tutorial feature snippets” from the others
