Hey is it possible to make an optimization guide for building Houdini assets into Unity? It would be great to know what nodes and workflows to avoid and what common techniques work best for Unity. Ok, I figured it out. If anyone runs into this problem there are a couple ways this will happen. Make sure that if you are scaling an object with a transform node that all of the pivots are set to their centroid. Also make sure the Houdini asset you added into your scene's position is (0, 0, 0.

I am having some really strange problems with the curves in Unity. I built an assets the creates a path of wooden planks following a curve. In Houdini everything looks fine but when I bring it into Unity the planks are either 1000 of meters away from the curve or they are not even there. I have Houudini 15.6.3 and Unity 2017.3.1. Does anyone know what is going on?

Hey, so when I bake the texture I am not able to bake the color onto it. It is just coming out black. Do you know what I am doing wrong?

I have a two part question…
1. how do you iterate through a group in vex?
2. how would you refer to point 1 inside a group of points in Vex? Ex. say I wanted to find the distance between two points inside a group I want to subtract the position of point 0 in the group by the position of point 1. How would I do that inside of Vex?
I have been trying to figure this one out to no avail

I am trying to figure out a way to snap the curve to Unity's grid. I tried going into the HoudiniCurveGUI script but I can't find anything that has to do with snapping. Does anyone know how to get this to work?

I want to delete all primitives that have their y position lower than an adjustable number. How would I code this in vex?

Thank you all for the help. The problem I was having was a little more complicated than what I said at the top. I needed it to divide like that procedurally in many different cases where the point numbers would change. Eventually I realized that if I turned on maximum edge and then used a sort to find the primitive fathest away from the centroid I could then remove that primitive and then I used a facet node to remove any inline points on the first polygon. After that process it will split your polygons into individual faces you can edit no matter how you create the n gonna.

Hey all, I have been having trouble figuring out a solution to this problem, I want to split an n gon into quads. I have tried using the divide node and it works but it isn't very reliable and it involves a lot of adjustment with the parameters to get it to work for different shapes. If anyone has any better solutions I would really appreciate it!

I am having trouble using sweep node. It usually works for me but I am getting this result when I try to do it. Does anyone know what is going on?
