I think the Delay is due to AI and integrating it into the core program. They probably floated the h20 stuff just to let you know it is coming at some point. Houdini has a large learning curve. If AI can drop that curve it would make sense to integrate it.
Yess, finally ! Just add a "make nice" prompt and Bob’s your uncle ;-)

I would love if Houdini would make Solaris a really cool and performant LookDev workflow.
At now it isn't that great.
I recently tried to import a USD Character, but it's lacking performance and I don't understand what
these points are and how I can get rid of.
Have a look at this thread:

I would like to believe this, but i really doubt it's the case.
How to plan to use "AI and integrating it into the core program"? Are you not taking some serious shortcut here?
There will be a shift of paradigm at some point for many tasks we are doing now, but let's be serious it will be for tomorrow 2023.
I expect much more than a feather tool, SSS and crypto support in karma. Sidefx is not Epic or Unity with a staff of thousands, i obviously understand some priority should be taken and we have to be patient. But to a certain point. If they can't show they could keep the same pace as before and follow the rise of competitors, well that's certainly going to question my faith in my favorite tool.
Did Nvidia offer a golden bridge to steal Sidefx's best staff like they did in many other place?

It was more a joke, slow down , i have no clue on that
but yeah some of my old colleague, top people at Weta, Pixar, etc Autodesk, did all left almost in the same time and now works for Nvidia.
They do has an increasing monopole. While im quite in admiration for their achievement, this is also a very serious concern and potential dangerous fact
Silence is not necessarily a reason to panic , it's a long run fight...

Following this "pattern" H20 should already have been "sneek peaked"...

AI is having an impact across the whole ECO system right now look at the current state of things NIVIDIA's exponential dominance the Actors and writers' strike has shut down Hollywood,Art and photography business models are being upended, and news journalists being replaced by ai bots. Is this the end no of course not but the singularity is nearer than you think. I just like to get to Houdini 2024 before everything changes. Keeping the faith that by early fall Sidefx will blow everything out of the water with Houdini 2024.
