Hi,
Ok, it surely sounds like a newbie question but I'm looking for a way to create a gradient, let's say from black to white, using the height of an object in VEX builder . In other words create a ramp in Y in VEX
thanks in advance

Hi Everybody,
I was wondering is somebody already tried, or may have an idea of how to proceed to “melt” an object . I'm not asking for a howto, but just trying to collect some ideas
Thanks in advance,
Julien

Hi everybody,
I'm looking for a way to scale through normals, like inflating or deflating my object, something like a smooth shift in Lightwave
Thanks in advance,

Hi,
I don't know if that can help you, I'm running Houdini on Linux with a dual monitor display (using twinview) . I set houdini to fill both screens and I create new custom desktop to display the panels I want on the screen I want

Hi Everybody,
I have a closed polycurve with 8 points, I try to convert it to a Nurbs curve but I can't get it closed it seems that I have a tangency problem on the “last point” . I'm not sure if I made myself clear
Does anyone know how to solve this ?
Thanks in advance

If acrobat reader doesn't work, try to use “xpdf” or “kpdf” if you run a KDE environment

Hi,
I want to project a 2d L-System onto a polygonal object, but the project SOP won't work as is it polygonal, does anyone know a walkthrough to manage to project anyway ? I tried the convert SOP, to convert it to bezier or Nurbs surfaces, but I guess my poly cage is not clean enough to get a one surface conversion
Thanks in Advance

Hi Everybody,
Does anyone knows how to “shrink wrap” (it's called like that in Softimage) an object ? Basically it's wrapping of conforming and object to an other
Thanks in advance

Hi Everybody,
I'm looking for a way to generate particle(s) from stopped particles .
Let me explain :
Imagine you have a tube with particles sliding down and stopping on it, how can I generate new particles from already stopped ones ? Moreover is it possible to index them in order to “know” that a newly created particle is generated by a stopped one ?
I hope that make sense to you and that it's clear enough
Thanks in advance

Hi Mark,
If you are talking about an import/export in FBX format, I don't think it's available for Houdini .. unfortunately
