Labs UV Grid Texture 1.0 Copernicus node

Generates procedural UV grid textures.

Since 21.0

This node generates procedural UV textures for validating UV layouts, texture orientation, texel density, and distortion.

The generated texture can be customized using tile colors, markers, outlines, and text labels. The resulting image can be exported to disk and used directly in texturing, and asset validation workflows.

This node is also used internally by the Labs UV Visualize SOP to generate procedural UV visualization textures.

Parameters

Texture

Resolution

Resolution of the generated texture.

Grid Divisions

Number of subdivisions within each UV tile.

Background Color

Background color of the generated texture. Available only when Add Rounded Corners is enabled.

Tiles

Coloring Mode

Method used to color UV tiles.

Uniform: Uses a single color for all tiles.

Checker: Alternates between two colors.

Gradient: Uses a color ramp.

Uniform Color

Color used when Coloring Mode is set to Uniform.

Checker Color 1

First color used for checkerboard tiles.

Checker Color 2

Second color used for checkerboard tiles.

Color Gradient

Color ramp used when Coloring Mode is set to Gradient.

Add Tile Outlines

Adds outlines around UV tiles.

Outline Width

Width of the tile outlines.

Outline Color

Color of the tile outlines.

Add Rounded Corners

Adds rounded corners on UV tiles.

Corner Radius

Radius of the tile corner rounding.

Markers

Marker Type

Marker displayed within each UV tile.

Text: Displays text labels.

Cross: Displays cross markers.

Arrow: Displays directional arrows.

Text Mode

Text displayed when Marker Type is set to Text.

Letters & Numbers: Displays alphanumeric identifiers.

Coordinates: Displays tile coordinates.

Font

Font used for text markers.

Marker Size

Size of the markers.

Coloring Mode

Method used to color markers.

Export

Output File

File path where the generated texture will be written.

Render

Generates the texture and saves it to the specified output file.
